Meet Dr. Collins
Dr. Collins earned her M.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 1996. She remained at UNC to complete an Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension. Her special interest in fellowship was kidney disease in pregnancy.
After her fellowship, she practiced general nephrology in Wilmington, NC, for two years. In 2006, she founded Consults in Hypertension, a clinic dedicated to the evaluation and management of complicated hypertension, as well as high blood pressure affecting pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Dr. Collins is Board Certified in Nephrology, and an American Society of Hypertension Certified Hypertension Specialist. She was elected to the Fellowship of the American Society of Hypertension (F.A.S.H.) in 2010.

Jessica is dual trained in administration and patient care, and has served both as Practice Manager and Medical Assistant at Consults in Hypertension since 2015.
She earned the degree of Certified Medical Assistant from Miller-Motte College in 2006, and later served as an instructor there.
At Kaplan University she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Health Science in 2010, followed by a Master's in Health Education in 2013.
